In the past several posts we were talking about the commands of God. No matter where you live or the laws of your land, the Law of God takes precedence over all. Yes, even if the law of your land states something different than God's law. There is no comparison, God's law stands above all. So if your local or federal government state a law that is in direct contradiction with God's commands then it is up to you Christian to uphold the Law of God.
What We Have Seen
Unfortunately, what we have seen are so called Christians upholding man's law even if that contradicts God's Law. So when our LORD said the following you know what He is referring to.
12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. Matthew 24:12
Law of Love
Are you putting this together yet? Understand that God's Law is motivated by Love, man's laws are NOT! Man's laws are based upon and motivated by money! So when Jesus is speaking of inequity or lawlessness abounding it is the Law of God that man is ignoring. Notice the end of the sentence, the love of many will wax cold, or grow cold. This is exactly what we see today. There is no love of the law, it is just another tool that people can hurt other people with. There is no love in our laws, in fact just the opposite, there is much evil in our laws. Open your eyes and look around the world, what is going on?
Imagine
Imagine having a law that everyone loves. Well, there is and it is called the Law of God or Commandments of Jesus. Imagine a law that says love your neighbor as yourself. Image a law that says Love God with your whole heart, soul, mind and strength. Things would be a lot different wouldn't they? A law based upon love and not money is a perfect law.
Lawlessness or Inequity
Lawlessness and inequity are the same thing. It's perverted, it's evil. Jesus was not talking about you breaking the speed limit or breaking some man made law, He was speaking of people breaking God's Laws! It is commonplace today, look around. Most people do not even know what the commandments of God are. It is in the laws of all countries of the world to break God's law. Think of the freedom of religion law. You think that is a good law? Look around at the madness going on in the name of religious freedom! But I guess man thought that it was a good idea to let people practice whatever kind of perverted religion they want.
Christianity
Christianity is the ONLY truth, there is no other truth! We are not speaking of apostate christianity, we are speaking of the real Bible message. Love God and love your neighbor. Mankind are real idiots to think they can come up with a better law. Everyone knows politicians are corrupt.
Addressing Naysayers
No doubt you will have some man or woman thinking they came up with a great idea. But what about this or that in the law that they cannot make sense of like eating pork, the sabbath, things that are unclean. Everything in the law of God was to mankind's benefit. We can debate on any issue, however, does one stop to think of the laws of man that make no sense or even violate the other laws they make? There are some absolutely crazy laws man has made, all you have to do is a search and you will find many.
Romans 7:12 - Wherefore the law [is] holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
