I love Jewish culture, music, and I love the Hebrew language. Thousands of years ago God chose a man, Abraham to make a covenant with him. This was a special plan, a special promise between Abraham and God that He would bring the deliverer to earth. In fact that is the whole concept of this covenant with Abraham that he would be a father to nations and through Sarah would the chosen one come. So even from the very beginning God had purposed to save the world. However, Abraham was not a Jew. Judah, Abraham's great grandson would become father to the Jewish nation.
Our Father is Abraham
When the Jews boast about their grandfather being Abraham, that is a very strange thing. Abraham is father to many nations as the Bible brings out. So Abraham is literally grandfather to billions of people around the globe probably including you!
Tracing Lineage
Tracing blood lines and lineage is really not that important today. It was only important up to the time that the Messiah would appear. There is no person today including Jews that can trace their lineage back to Abraham or even Judah for that matter. We know that the seed of the Promise came though this line but after the Christ already came and left, there is no need to keep tracing. The prophecy has already been fulfilled.
The Purpose of The Bloodline
The entire purpose of tracing the bloodline through the Jews was Jesus Christ of Nazareth. There was NO OTHER purpose for it. In fact we still have a record of this bloodline and it is proof that God honored His promise to Abraham. It was through this bloodline that God would deliver the world from sin and death! Baseless Claims
Yes anyone in Israel can make a claim that they are a Jew. But so can anyone else in the world. Let's conduct a test and let me show you how baseless this is. You have 2 parents, each one of your parents have 2 parents making 4 ancestors , each one of your grandparents have two parents making 8 ancestors. So basically you have to double every ancestor. Let's do this and let's assume people are 50 years old when having a child just to make it easier. Remember that in 500 AD, the estimated world population was around 200 million people.

- You would have more than 1,073,741,824 ancestors by 500 A.D. and the world population is 200,000,000 people.
Do you see the problem? You have more grandparents than the world population when you get to 500 AD! This is like 450 Years after Christ came! The numbers get worse because everyone knows that people mainly have kids when they are in their 20's or 30's.
Heritage
So now, that you know that your heritage is like every person who ever lived plus++, your heritage is a choice. Truly your brother's and sisters are everyone on the planet! We all share the same ancestors! However, the only important thing about chasing a blood line was the birth of Christ the LORD, this was the whole purpose of the Jewish Nation. This purpose is fulfilled and now no one's blood line is relevant. There is not one person on earth that can trace their bloodline back that far. There are some that claim they can go back as far as 5 thousand years but very highly unlikely that it is accurate.
Children of The Promise
So, this brings us to the Children of the promise, we already proved that you have the bloodline like everyone else. The Children of the Promise keep the commandments of God. This is the only thing that is going to make you special or different. You Are Special
However, you are special. There were many prophets that wrote about the time you are living in right now. They all desired to be here during this time but you have been chosen by God to be alive right now during this time. Imagine all these very important people who wrote about this Appointed Time looked at it with wonder and amazement. They fantasized about it, no doubt going over in their minds on the meaning behind God's words. Many of them were chosen to write them down, but they did not understand them because they were written for us. Amazing isn't it?
Example
Let's just take one example from the prophet Daniel. Imagine his situation. He was born in Israel in 623 BCE then in 539 BCE the Nation was captured by Babylon and Daniel would be a prisoner there for the rest of his life. Now the distance between Jerusalem where Daniel started his life and Babylon where he died was is 850 miles. So in Daniels entire life he would go no further distance the 850 miles and this was a lot. Most people would maybe travel short distances. Abraham is said to have traveled 1551 miles his whole life.
Limited Knowledge
Additionally, there was limited knowledge. People may have had some pieces of paper here and there, maybe a few scrolls at a temple but there was no widespread knowledge. Public Libraries either did not exist or were very limited and neither did the internet. Basically, what you knew growing up was the things around you and what your parents taught. This is another reason why the prophecies written down are so extraordinary.
Let's Read The Prophecy
So now that you know the background of things, let's read what Daniel wrote.
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Daniel 12:4
And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. Daniel 12:8-10
Do you realize how extraordinary this is? Even for thousands of years after Daniel people would not see this fulfilled, but my friend, you are seeing it fulfilled right now. Think of it, by the time you might have been 2 or 3 years old you would have traveled longer than Daniel or Abraham did in their entire life! By the time you were 5 years old you would of had more access to information at your fingertips than they ever had. These prophecies are being fulfilled right NOW!
You Were Chosen
Yes, my friend, you were chosen to be alive at this time. You were chosen to live a life that the prophets dreamed about when they were instructed to write about this time. Do you understand how special this is? It is unimaginable that God prepared this grand culmination for you. Take it all in, understand as much as you can. The significance and weight of the realization may be very difficult, however, use your powers of observation and understanding. Most importantly pray and read God's Word!
Ezekiel Prophecies
Ah, you may point out that in Ezekiel's last chapters where he is speaking of the third temple during the Millennial Reign, there is a Prince there, that offer sacrifice for his sins and that of the nations. Then there is the sons of Zadok to perform priestly duties. The either David himself is mentioned as being this ruler. Very interesting stuff and it seems that indeed a bloodline may play a part in this prophecy. So we will explore this in the next post.
