Here is a legitimate question, how about the humans that lived that knew NOT Christ? Will they be resurrected? What will happen?
The Situation
There are a lot of people that lived that did not know Jesus Christ before His time on earth and after His crucifixion. The Bible explicitly refers to the resurrection of those dead "in Christ" will rise first then we the living will be caught away with them in the clouds. This is the Christians only, who have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
Scenarios
We know that Abraham and all the descendents of Israel had a life and a testimony to Christ. Eventually, this became the Christians job, Jew and non-Jew alike. Job was neither an Israelite or Christian, neither was Noah, Able, and many other righteous people we can mention in the Bible that did not have an affiliation with Christ.
Then still others were never given the chance to practice righteousness in their lives. We think of children & babies that died, those raised in wicked families and cultures. The unborn murdered and stillbirths. People who have lived in deception their entire lives, believing a lie.
So, what about these people?
Several Aspects of the Resurrection
The Great Tribulation is nearly upon us that will culminate in the Great War of God with the nations which indeed we Christians will be participating in by Christs side. However, what about those that make it through the war? The survivors? Will there be any? Will there be any that turn to God after the rapture?
Israel's Blindness Lifted
There will be those who will refuse the mark of the beast but still do not accept Christ. After we are called to Heaven in the sight of everyone shortly before the Great War starts at the 7th trumpet, many people will repent who rejected the Messiah Jesus Christ after this. These ones will survive the Great War but remain here on earth because there is only one rapture. Israel's blindness will be lifted and they will repent and say, "Blessed is He that comes in the name of the LORD!". However, they will remain on the Earth because we will be coming back to the Earth with Christ to rule over the nations and the 12 tribes of Israel. It is important to note here that these ones that live on the Earth during the Thousand year reign are subject to the second death. We will post more on this later.
Order of Events
- The Dead Christians Will Rise First to be with Christ 1 Thess 4:16
- We living Christians are raptured into the Clouds to be with them. True Christians, not Apostate "so called christians" 1 Thess 4:17
- We then return with Christ and "Heavens Army" for Battle with Satan and his empire which includes this worlds rulers. Matt 7:30,31
- Israel and all those who do not receive the Mark of the Beast repent Rev 11:13.
- We put an end to mankind's reign and destruction of the earth under Christ's leadership.Rev 11:18
- The Beast, false prophet and Babylon the Great are all annihilated. Rev 19:20,21
- Satan & Demons are imprisoned. Rev 20:1-3
- The 7th Day of rest begins Rev 20:2
- The Righteous dead are resurrected on earth, even those who did not know Christ. Luke 22:30 Rev 20:12, 13
A Lot Going On
So there is a lot going on here with the dead being raised. To narrow it down there are essentially 4 parts to the resurrection. First you have the dead in Christ being raised 1st, Then you have the Rapture happening because the Appointed time is at hand. Then after the war the righteous dead are raised. Then at the end of the thousand years, the unrighteous are raised and are cast into the Lake of Fire with Satan and his angels.
Raising the Unborn
So you could imagine those out of the womb raised from the dead, but you cannot imagine those killed who were unborn? Women who repent and accept Christ and do not receive the mark of the beast could find themselves pregnant after the Great War to right their wrong. For those women that accepted the mark of the beast, and are destined for the lake of fire, their unborn may receive a second chance in the womb of a new mother. Purely speculation, but all things will be made right by God. Those souls were robbed of life and all things will be set right in the Kingdom of Christ.
