If You Seek, You Shall Find – If You Knock, It Will Be Opened!
Isn't that what we are told?
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."
— Matthew 7:7-8
What I Find Fascinating
You know what I find fascinating about this scripture? It is so real and true. Yet, so many expect God to place Himself in their lives automatically, without any seeking, knocking, or asking. They do not believe that they need to put any effort at all into it. But that’s not how it works—not even for those raised in the faith.
God doesn’t force Himself upon anyone. He invites, He calls, and He waits. But He also expects us to take action—to desire Him enough to seek Him out. The promise in this passage is clear: those who genuinely seek will find. Those who knock will see doors open. But we must take the first step.
So, the question is—are we asking? Are we seeking? Are we knocking? Because His promise still stands.
The Garden of Eden
I can't help but think back to the Garden of Eden also known as The Garden of God. God's purpose was to have people love Him from a freedom of choice. They are always free to do the opposite as we see so many doing today. Many of them are cursing God to our dismay and disappointment. It leaves a feeling of disgust because you know that they do not appreciate the goodness in life that comes from God. We do not need evil to appreciate what is good. All of the elect want it gone totally and it will end at the appointed time.
The Great Experiment
For lack of a better term we can see this as a great experiment. From the Garden until this time. It was as if God told the angels who rebelled and humans that follow them, here is your chance to do a better job. The challenge was permitted out of free will for those who wish to work against God. We can all plainly see how this has turned out, it's absolutely horrible! It is so bad that mankind now is trying to find another planet that they can go to and inhabit? But why? Will they not eventually do the same to anything they touch with their greed and false dreams?
What The Elect Look Forward Too
The elect are looking forward to the time when God does take His rightful place as ruler over mankind. Only then will we have true peace and everlasting life with all the goodness that comes from God Almighty. We know this time is very soon, in fact some us believe He will return in the year 2030 but we have a lot of trials between now and then.
Keep On The Watch
So now we have this application to help our fellow elect to keep on the watch and prepare for the Great and Fear inspiring day that Jesus returns. This is not a new teaching as you can read from the previous posts on this site, no, but even the early Christians taught this!
God Bless you and Keep on The Watch!
