Sometimes it may feel like we are swimming in a cesspool of evil. It comes for us at all sides: friends, family, neighbors, enemies or even from within. There seems to be temptation everywhere.One of the main areas it comes from is social media and TV. Our innocent shows & movies we may have watched as children are redone and made into something perverted.
Children Are Not Smarter
There is a fallacy spreading around that children are a lot smarter than they were years ago. The contention is they are exposed to a lot more than the children of yesterday. Their innocence and childhood is robbed from them and what has been put in its place is the filth that we witness in today's world. No, they are not smarter than the children of yesterday, they have just became adulterated with junk every minute of every day.
Children Shows
The so called "Childrens Shows" are appaling. What they are exposed to is shameful. Sexual innuendos, violence, fraud and lying. Deceptive tactics, no, the children are not smarter, they have just been taught evil from a much earlier age.
Single Parent Homes
The single parent home is a joke to say the least. It was not this way from the beginning and it teaches the next generation to be weak. The reasons for divorce and separation is selfish and cruel. The claims of "mental abuse" could be just about anything, couldn't it? So now we have "no fault" divorces which is very popular throughout the world. In other words, if you don't like it leave. However, when it comes to a money contract, the lender can sue you and ruin your life. Any other contract is taken seriously, but marriage? This is a joke.
Apostate Love
It is no wonder that people these days do not know what love is. They even write songs about it. It is so easy for someone to pick up and leave when things do not go their way. Their claim is that they are not "happy" anymore. Oh yes, and it has to be the other person's fault, it must be their shortcomings that make this person unhappy. The real reason why a person makes a claim like this, is, that they are giving into sin. When someone gives into sin, then so comes all the other things that come with sin. Greed, lust, envy, selfishness, drunkenness all the works of inequity. Oh yes, they want God to forgive them, but they are not going to forgive the one they vowed to love forever? Does it work that way?
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Matthew 24:12
Love Is Hard Work
When you consider what we are surrounded with, Love is hard work. This makes it even more important of who you choose to partner with and marry. Everything can crumble in a split second and your life is changed forever.
Paul Recommends Staying Single
Given the fact that inequity abounds even more so in this last day, maybe we should consider Paul's advice on staying single. This of course is directed to young men. Dedicate yourself to God and follow His commands. The time is short and trying to join yourself to someone at this point in time can be very costly. Women are of course encouraged to marry, but why? Think of a single woman. What are her natural thoughts? If Christ is the head of man and man is the head of the woman, where does that leave her if she is single? Vulnerable of course.
The Plight of Women
The modern woman is a nasty creature. Constantly challenging God and His arrangement. All it takes is a couple minutes on social media to see what they have become. A harbering place for demons. Imagine being a Godly man and take a look at that. Now we know why Paul encouraged men to be single. It is the best way to be close to God. Most "modern men" these days encourage these kinds of "modern women", but why? Think of this, if they can encourage them to continue to practice their sin, then the men have no responsibility to them. No ties! Get what they want and leave. Everyone is "so-called happy".
What Happiness Is
If you want to know what happiness and true love is then look no further than Jesus Christ Himself. Suffering the most abhorrent torture from His own creation. Then turning around and loving them and giving them a chance to repent. This is true happiness and it comes with a lot of pain and tears.
Repentance is Happiness
Repentance is happiness, forgiveness is love. God is Love! But hopefully you know now what love and happiness actually are and can work toward that endeavor. The elect fail forward and learn from their mistakes. The chosen are moved by these words, the condemned are offended.
